Hello Sunshine Speech and Language Therapy is here to be your partner on this journey with you and your family. Our SLP's are here to guide your family through the diagnosis and therapy process. Whatever questions you have or resources you need, we are here to help. We see the potential in each child, and hope to be able to bring out the best in your child so that others see exactly what you see too.
Founded in February 2020 by Christina Leal, Hello Sunshine Speech was created with the family in mind. Our services are provided either in your home or via teletherapy, where you can be an active participant in the therapy process. When we are all on the same page and implementing the same strategies, we will be able to see greater growth in your child's skills.
Christina Leal, MS CCC-SLP
Christina Leal, a Spanish-English bilingual SLP, brings over 8 years of experience to the clients we serve and is our only speech-language pathologist at this point. Her passion is working with children, especially those under the age of 5 for early intervention.
Since Christina has worked in an elementary school as an SLP, she is knowledgeable in the areas of how speech and language affects a child's academic skills, along with the laws that govern special education services in the school system. She infuses academic standards into her therapy services and collaborates with teachers and other therapists in your child's life to help improve their skills. Her creative approach to therapy has even the most behaviorally challenging children looking forward to their speech therapy sessions.
She has experience working with children who have a variety of disorders, including but not limited to those with Dyslexia, Autism, Apraxia of Speech, ADHD, Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances, Stuttering, Cluttering, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Speech Sound Disorders, Downs Syndrome, Cleft Palate, Language Disorders, Vocal Nodules, Auditory Processing Disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities.
No matter what diagnosis your child has received, rest assured that you will be in good hands with Christina.
